This summer has been full of exciting changes, as I recently moved to Indianapolis to continue my journey - and shorten my commute! I am happy to announce that I just won the Principal horn audition with the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic - and was proud to have played exactly how I wanted to when it mattered! I am looking forward to starting with them in a few weeks, and continue to further the relationships and great playing experiences I already have with the outstanding musicians that are part of the orchestra. I am have added Ravel's Pavane to my daily routine, so that I will be ready for the first concert of the season.
I have also started teaching more in the Center Grove area, and recently coached the brass players of the New World Youth Orchestra. I am excited to have already met so many new great young students and am proud to see remarkable progress in many of my returning students. As we gear up for the fall tour with Bay Street Brassworks, I am especially looking forward to a concert series with music for organ and brass quintet - playing an arrangement of Saint-Saens Symphony No. 3 will be a highlight of the night. This year promises to be full of great music, rewarding teaching and exciting new opportunities.!
